OHKF invited to third Global Think Tank Town Hall to Save Lives and Livelihoods

    06/30/2020 - 20:30

(30 June 2020, Hong Kong)  Over 160 think tanks in close to 90 countries from every region of the world contributed to lead an international rapid response to the COVID-19 public health crisis and the social, economic and political disruptions it has created. Following participation in the second Global Think Tank Townhall organised by the University of Pennsylvania’s Dr James McGann in May 2020 as part of this effort, OHKF was invited to be a member of an international interdisciplinary working group focused on ‘Addressing the Public Health Crisis’ tasked to produce an action-oriented policy report addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. Numerous teleconference meetings with other working group thought leaders were held in the past month to devise this evidence-based policy report.

OHKF was invited to join the third Global Think Tank Town Hall that took place on 30 June and attracted an audience of close to 600 senior scholars and executives from leading think tanks around the world.

PPI Head of Healthcare and Social Development Dr. Pamela Tin spoke on major working group recommendations at the Townhall event.  Recommendations from the reports will be conveyed to national governments, regional and global IGOS, and the G7 and G20.
