Webinar on Hong Kong-Nansha Cooperation

They took part in a webinar on “Hong Kong-Nansha Cooperation” jointly organised by Hong Kong Coalition, OHKF, and Consultative Committee on Guangdong-Hong Kong Co-operation (Guangzhou Nansha).

Think Tanks Explore Good Governance for HK
Think tanks are key to HK’s soft power and catalysts for good governance in the city, said Deputy Director of the Central Government’s Liaison Office in Hong Kong Lu Xinning in a forum with leading think tanks on achieving good governance in HK hosted by the Liaison Office and OHKF.

Eva Cheng: Think Tanks Can Guide HK’s Long-Term Plans
OHKF President Eva Cheng noted that as our country is making steady progress towards the 14th Five-Year Plan and 2035 long-range objectives, HK too should improve long-planning capability. Local think tanks as a wellspring of ideas and expertise can contribute to good governance, she said.

“Affordable Homeownership” Helps Narrow Wealth Gap
HK’s wealth gap is attributed to asset and income disparity between those who own properties and those who don’t, said OHKF Senior Vice President & PPI Executive Director Stephen Wong. He urged the Government refer to Singapore’s home ownership model, so that citizens can enjoy housing wealth gain.

A Lifelong Devotion to Magnificent Mogao Caves
Prof Fan Jinshi, Honorary Director of Dunhuang Academy, known as “Daughter of Dunhuang”, shared the significance of preserving the World Heritage—Mogao Caves—at the “China Masters Series” webinar. She shed light on Chinese scholars’ devotion over the decades to conserving the national treasure.
