Kenny Shui, Vice President of Our Hong Kong Foundation and Executive Director of the Public Policy Institute, was invited by the Guangzhou Institute of the Greater Bay Area (GIG) to serve as the moderator of the seminar on "Deeper Integration and Development of Technological and Industrial Innovation between Guangzhou and Hong Kong”.

The seminar opened with welcome speeches delivered by Wang Chunxin, Deputy Head of the Chief Executive Policy Unit of the HKSAR Government and Wu Sa, Director of the Guangzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission and the Municipal Greater Bay Area Office. Executive Deputy Director of the Guangzhou Municipal Greater Bay Area Office and Deputy Director of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission Chen Xu delivered a keynote report. 

In the discussion session, representatives from the National Technology Innovation Center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Guangzhou Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Fok Ying Tung Research Institute, the Hong Kong Institute of Science and Technology in Guangzhou, the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute, and other institutions had in-depth exchanges on developing pathways for technology transfer between Guangzhou and Hong Kong, relevant supporting mechanisms, and persisting institutional obstacles.
