(1 October 2021, Hong Kong) Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF) is delighted to be one of the selected 63 cases from 37 countries featured in the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) Dr. James McGann’s “Think Tanks & Pandemic Policy Advice (2020-21)” Report.  The report showcases how think tanks influenced, facilitated, and guided governmental policy during the pandemic.

OHKF is the only Think Tank in Hong Kong being featured in the report, together with the world’s top think tanks such as Brookings Institution (USA), Chatham House (UK) and Heritage Foundation (USA), out of hundreds of cases from think tanks around the world submitted to UPenn’s “Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP)”.

OHKF was also among a few selected Think Tank thought leaders to present our case at a Think Tank Summit held earlier this year.  We demonstrated how government infrastructure investment would be an effective response to help reboot the local economy, which effectively acted as a counter-cyclical fiscal policy to create jobs and investment opportunities, and also create long-term social benefits.
