OHKF Insight Forum New Economy Series: From AI to Bio-Agriculture — Hong Kong’s Path Towards a Biotech Hub
(23 October 2025, Hong Kong) Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF) presented the New Economy Series of the Insight Forum, entitled “Biotech Innovations: From AI to Bio-Agriculture — Hong Kong’s Path Towards a Biotech Hub”, explore AI Innovation in Healthcare.
The Forum was honoured to have Ms Simone Song, Founder and Senior Partner of ORI Capital as the speaker. Explore AI Innovation in Healthcare, including 2 sessions: AI for Disruptive Medicine: Revolutionizing Drug Development and AI for Lifesaving Diagnostics: Faster and Smarter.
Ms Simone Song said, “The traditional drug discovery process faces a 95% failure rate and $60 billion in annual capital waste. Through ORI's proprietary AI platform ‘ORIzon’, which adopts a patient-first philosophy—starting with unmet medical needs to select clinically validated modalities and targets— ‘ORIzon’ optimises target identification, molecule construction, and clinical trials, reducing timelines by 40 to 60%, cutting R&D costs by $54 billion, and boosting success rates by 16.7%.”
She said, “‘ORIzon’, fostering an integrated value chain, spans upstream data infrastructure, midstream AI platforms, and downstream healthcare services. In creating success for biotech activity, if the initial association of these three pillars, namely therapeutics, creating new drugs, and disease and treatment target, is random, we are doomed.”
The Forum attracted a full house of attendees, including entrepreneurs, C-suite executives and industry pioneers and strong support from a wide range of sectors. The second forum on the same theme is scheduled for 14 November.
