Dicky Chow: Two-pronged Recommendations for Advancing Sustainable Healthcare Development
2025 Policy Address is releasing on 17 September. Dicky Chow, Head of Healthcare & Social Innovation of Our Hong Kong Foundation, noted that Hong Kong’s ageing population was driving up healthcare demand, and the rising healthcare expenditure has imposed significant pressure on public finances, with recurrent expenditures on elderly services have increased by 60% in just the past five years.
He hopes the Policy Address would focus on two key areas: promoting inclusive housing and community environments for seniors and strengthening integrated end-of-life care, thereby advancing sustainability of the healthcare system.
