Dr Lam Ching-choi, Member of Research Council of Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF), and Non-Official Member of the Executive Council, The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, remarked that community services for ageing in place in Hong Kong are fairly extensive, but the issue of elderly housing should be addressed by formulating an elderly housing policy through cross-bureau collaboration.

He underscored that if the whole society can be age-friendly in every respect, the elderly will be living safely and comfortably, ultimately promoting the sustainability of the society.
