Mr. Alan TUNG, JP

Mr. Tung serves as Managing Director of Island Navigation Corporation International Limited, a Hong Kong based shipping company.  The INC group of companies is active in owning, operating and managing of bulk carriers and tankers trading globally for over fifty years.

Mr. Tung served as an Executive Director and the Chief Financial Officer of Orient Overseas (International) Ltd., a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, until August 2018.  The Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary Orient Overseas Container Line Limited is an integrated international containerized transportation and logistics company and operates under the trade name OOCL.  

Mr. Tung also served as Managing Director of Orient Overseas Development Limited (“OODL”) until January 2010.  OODL was a real estate development company with development and investment activities in residential, commercial, retail and hotel sectors in China.  

Mr. Tung is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Swire Shipping Pte. Ltd. and Swire Bulk Holdings Pte. Ltd. Mr. Tung also serves as a Non-Executive Director of both The Steamship Mutual Underwriting Association (Bermuda) Limited and The Steamship Mutual Underwriting Association Limited.

Mr. Tung served as the Chairman of Hong Kong Shipowner Association in 2011-2013, and currently is an Executive Committee member of the Association.  He is a board member of Hong Kong Maritime Museum Limited, a Council member of INTERTANKO and the International Association of Dry Cargo Shipowners (Intercargo).  He is a Trustee for the Tung Foundation, a Hong Kong based charitable trust active in non profit activities in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Overseas. He served as a member of the HKSAR Economic Development Commission in 2013-2017.  

Mr. Tung was appointed as non-official Justice of Peace by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2017.
