OHKF Insight Forum - Leading Through Uncertainty Decision-Making, AI and Complexity
(7 May 2025, Hong Kong) Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF) Insight Forum presented an inspiring session titled “Leading Through Uncertainty Decision-Making, AI and Complexity”. The Forum discussed how top leaders make bold decisions amidst strategic clarity, complexity mastery, and AI and human agencywhen facing ambiguity and uncertainty in an increasingly complex world of rapid changes in geopolitical relationships along with advances in technology and especially AI’s development.
Mr Kenny Shui, Vice President of OHKF and Executive Director of Public Policy Institute, welcomed the audience as the opening speaker. The Forum was honoured to have the gracious presence of Mr Dave Snowden, Co-founder of Singapore’s Insight Centre, as the keynote speaker.
Addressing the audience with an opening speech, Mr Kenny Shui said, “The question we have is no longer whether AI will transform our leadership, but how we can harness it responsibly while navigating their ethical, operational, and also organisational tensions that it brings.”
Mr Dave Snowden expressed in his speech, “What AI is trying to do is to tell you what it thinks you are most likely to believe based on its training data sets. Basically, human beings do multiple micro hallucinations and they come from previous experience, they come from people we talk and spend time with. Those are stories. Stories are really important to human sense making.”
The Forum attracted a full house of attendees, including entrepreneurs, C-suite executives and industry pioneers and strong support from a wide range of sectors, including CIO Connect as the supporting organisation, and The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel as the venue sponsor.
