The Hong Kong Coalition, Our Hong Kong Foundation, and Hong Kong Cyberport co-organised the "Hong Kong Youth Entrepreneurship in the Greater Bay Area Forum" on 6 May. In-depth discussions were held with representatives from government departments, business leaders, representatives from innovation and entrepreneurial bases in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), and Hong Kong entrepreneurs who have successfully established their businesses in the GBA, with a focus on issues such as entrepreneurial support policies, connectivity of industrial resources, and market development strategies within the area.

Sky Tang, Founder and Managing Director of ConceptFound Smart Technology (Dongguan) Limited, emphasised that that when starting a business in Mainland, entrepreneurs must adopt a long-term vision rather than focusing solely on short-term market gains, never pursue something just for policy subsidies or incentives.

Raymond Chau, Founder of SeniorDeli CareEZ Asaptic, pointed out that Hong Kong youth should find a competitive edge when entering the Mainland market, especially when entering second- or third-tier Mainland cities still highly trust Hong Kong's healthcare services and products.

Eddy Chen, President of Esports Association of Hong Kong, China and Chairman of MEET Alumni Network, stated that the importance of choosing the right entrepreneurial base, having staff familiar with Mainland policies explain key points to Hong Kong youth is equally crucial.

Alan Lam, Founder of BrainStorm Group, mentioned that the advantage of Hong Kong youth are frequently exposed to foreign cultures. They also need to be adaptable assessing weather overseas business opportunities.

Lindy Liu, Co-founder of babegaga (Guangzhou) International Education Technology Co., Ltd, said that the Government and non-profit organisations are providing a series of Mainland study and exchange opportunities for young people, these programmes allow Hong Kong youth to explore suitable career paths earlier and find their professional direction.
