"CHINA TODAY" EP38: China fishing moratorium

29 Nov 2021 (Mon)

Since 1995, China has implemented fishing moratoriums in the East China Sea, the Yellow Sea, and the Bohai Sea. From the first two and a half months to the longest four and a half months, fishing is prohibited. Although the 100-day fishing moratorium has an impact on the fishermen’s harvest, it has restored the balance of China’s marine ecology.
