Professor Eric YEUNG

Prof. Yeung is currently the CEO and Co-founder of Skyzer VC Group. He completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Eric also obtained the Master degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and the Science in E-Commerce.

Skyzer VC Group comprises several technology and entertainment companies that provide the best digital entertainment experiences and innovative O2O business platforms, including Golfzon GreenLive Hong Kong, VAR LIVE, and Vsing. The group is committed to promoting the integration of smart technology into daily life, researching and developing innovative and creative entertainment facilities to offer a more diverse entertainment experience in the market. The Group’s long-term vision of the group focuses on creativity, innovation, and technology to enhance lives and push the entertainment experience into new realms.

In his role leading the company's business development, Eric is dedicated to advancing Hong Kong's esports industry. He is the founding president of the Esports Association of Hong Kong, China. In recent years, esports has emerged as a global phenomenon. In 2018, esports was included as a demonstration sport at the Asian Games in Jakarta, paving the way for its official inclusion in the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2022. As the head of the team, Eric led the Hong Kong Esports Asian Games delegation to visit the demonstration site and engage in discussions about industry development with local esports institutions. Additionally, he has been invited to lecture at various universities and institutions to promote esports development to diverse sectors, including the HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, the Hong Kong E-sports Music Festival 2018, the Jockey Club's Next Furlong Scheme, the Shenzhen Hong Kong E-Commerce Development Forum, and the InnoTech Expo 2018 esports talk.

Prof. Yeung is also actively involved in the IT industry. He serves as a Director of the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, the Founder and Honorary President of the Smart City Consortium, the Vice President of the Hong Kong Information Technology Joint Council, and the Vice Chairman of the Internet Professional Association. Regarding youth development, Eric advocates for young people to equip themselves and contribute to society while disseminating positive information to the public to foster a harmonious society through innovative technology.

He is a Council Member of The Education University of Hong Kong and the Executive Vice President of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Small and Medium Business. Additionally, he is a Council Member of the Constitution and Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee for Digital Economy Development. In 2010, Eric was selected as the 4th Young Leader by the Junior Chamber International Harbour.
