Allen Ha focuses on real-estate asset solutions as well as generational human capital strategies through his family business Family Foundations Ltd, sharing his leadership & industry track record in mega project facility management, property design & build, leasing & sales, and land acquisitions, with a career spanning over 30 years in corporate leadership positions with multinationals and Asian enterprises in both private and public sectors.
In 2003 Allen was a founding executive member of AsiaWorld-Expo Management (AWEM), as a start-up in the design & build phase of the conference & exhibition facility and in parallel the organization setup of the business operation. Allen assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in 2007, propelling the company to top international ranking in the highly competitive M.I.C.E. industry, while leading the company to achieve an impressive annual double-digit percentage business growth for six consecutive years, before successfully selling the business in 2018 to a new investor.
Allen was appointed by the Government as a member of the Lantau Development Advisory Committee (LanDAC) and Chairman of the Public Relations and Promotion Sub-Committee of LanDAC from 2014-2020. Other appointments include serving on the Economic Development Commission Working Group, as the panel member of the Barrister Disciplinary Tribunal, and as the Founding Chairman of Lantau Development Alliance. Allen, being a pioneering advocate for collaboration between Hong Kong and the GBA, was appointed in 2015 as the distinguished member of Zhuhai CPPCC.
As a father of two adult sons, Allen with a keen passion for the wellbeing and upward mobility of our next generation, was appointed to serve on the Organising Committee of the Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme. Allen was also instrumental in the launch of “Generation” (a global youth employment program by McKinsey) in Hong Kong. He founded the award-winning DADs Network (a registered s88 charity) in 2015 to empower fathers to take a more active and leading role, thereby strengthening families and nurturing the wellbeing of Hong Kong’s next generation.
