Ronald Kan is a solicitor of Hong Kong, England & Wales and New South Wales, Australia, Notary Public, China-Appointed Attesting Officer, CPA (Australia) and accredited mediator. He graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Economics (Finance), University of London and City University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), Bristol University with a Master of Laws (Commercial Law) and Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Master of Laws (Chinese Business Law).
Mr Kan acquired experience in commercial law from international, Chinese and Hong Kong law firms. He has also worked with the Department of Justice of the Hong Kong SAR Government, having handled maritime law issues and organised a seminar on maritime arbitration.
He also serves on government and professional committees and associations in Hong Kong and Mainland China, focusing on youth affairs for over ten years expanding from district to New Territories, from Hong Kong to the world. Having been selected as Ten Outstanding Young Persons, he moved on to the culture arena. Mr Kan sat on LCSD's Intangible Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee. At Heung Yee Kuk, he promotes local culture through the Traditional Culture Committee and convenes the Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee. Mr Kan hopes that the younger generation can inherit good traditions and spread goodness amongst their peers.
