Mrs Agnes KOON

Mrs Agnes Koon is the Chief Executive of KSY Speciality Ltd. KSY offers full range of broking & consultancy services in insurance solutions for commercial and individual customers on all lines including Property & Casualty, Public Liability, Professional & Medical Malpractice Liability, Individual/Group Medical, Life & Annuity/Saving, and Employees Benefits insurances. KSY is also a Lloyd’s Coverholder in Jewellery and Fine Arts Insurances. 

Mrs Koon was the first lady chairman of HK Federation of Insurers. During her tenure of the chairmanship, she initiated Renminbi insurance policies in Hong Kong; spearheaded the launch of the “Employees’ Compensation Insurance Residual Scheme”; successfully included insurance product as an investment vehicle in the “Capital Investment Entrant Scheme”; and published for the first time a historical book “The Insurance History of Hong Kong 1841-2008”.

Mrs Koon was awarded Honorary Fellowship of Vocational Training Council in 2018; Medal of Honour by HKSAR Government in 2017; Outstanding Business Women Award 2017 by the HK Commercial Daily and Awardee of Top One Hundred Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs in China 2007 by the China Association of Women Entrepreneurs. Mrs Koon’s community services includes Insurance Authority Process Review Panel, Mandatory Provident Fund Authority Process Review Panel, Lingnan University Deputy Chairman of the Court; HKMC Annuity Ltd Non-Executive Director, Steering Committee Member on the Pilot Programme to Enhance Talent Training for the Insurance Sector; Our Hong Kong Foundation Advisor, Smart City Consortium Technical Advisor in Insurance, China Overseas Friendship Association Hon Director, 12th National People’s Congress Representatives Election Committee, HKSAR Election Committee of Chief Executive, All China Women Federation Hong Kong Delegates Association Honorary President & Executive Board, All China Women's Federation Beijing Municipality Hon Representative, Hong Kong Women Professionals and Entrepreneurs Association Former President & current Executive Board, Former Chairman of Insurance Training Board of Vocational Training Council and Former President of Zonta Club of Kowloon.
