Ms Rainbow LAM

Rainbow Lam is a Researcher at Our Hong Kong Foundation, conducting policy research and advocacy related to education, youth, and sports. Prior to joining OHKF, Ms Lam was active in sustainability research across the Asia-Pacific and ASEAN nations. She was selected as Hong Kong's representative to participate in the ‘Inaugural Youth Green Summit’ co-organised by Thailand's Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment and Humanitarian Affairs Asia, held at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok. She also presented in a consultation workshop on strengthening cooperation on disaster risk management, hosted by the Asian Development Bank and the ASEAN Secretariat. Furthermore, she was invited to attend the ‘Regional Workshop on Assessing Climate Vulnerability, Planning Adaptation Strategies, and Securing Innovative Financing in ASEAN and East Asia’ in Laos, where she engaged with government representatives and relevant institutions from various nations.

Rainbow Lam holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Environmental Science, Policy and Management from The HKUST, with a scholarship award.  She holds the CFA Certificate in Sustainable Investing. Her academic research focuses on adaptation finance, green energy, and disaster risk management, including extreme climate, with peer-reviewed and opinion articles published in academic journals and the South China Morning Post that offer strategic recommendations. She received the Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award jointly presented by the Innovation and Technology Commission, HSBC, and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups.
