OHKF Deputy Research Director Victor Kwok Invited as Moderator for Roundtable Discussion on Advancing Innovative Medicines
Victor Kwok, Deputy Research Director of Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF), was invited to attend and moderate the “Roundtable Discussion on Advancing Innovative Medicines,” co-organised by the Cancer Patient Alliance and 长期病患者关注医疗改革联席 on 2 May.
Guests of the roundtable discussion included Assistant Director of Health (Preparatory Office for Centre for Medical Products Regulation) of Department of Health Chan Sze-Tao, Lot, Director (Cluster Services) of the Hospital Authority Dr Wong Yiu-chung; Member of the Legislative Council Dr Hon Chan Han-pan, BBS, JP; academic experts; and representatives from pharmaceutical companies.
The meeting focused on Hong Kong's performance in developing healthcare innovation and recommendations for further improvements to the current mechanisms for approving and registering innovative drugs, as well as strengthening support for local clinical research and drug development.
